Courteney Cox
Courteney Cox is an American actress, director, and producer. Most famous for her role in the TV series 'Friends' and for playing one of the most prominent roles in the film franchise 'Scream. Her birthplace was in Birmingham, Alabama and developed an interest in acting as a youngster. She studied architecture in Mount Vernon College in Washington, DC But, she decided to leave her studies to pursue an acting career. She made her movie debut by playing in 'Down Twisted'. She started gaining popularity after she played one her most prominent role in the horror slasher film "Scream'. The film was successful commercially and earned around eleven times its budget. It also received acclaim by film's critics. Cox reprised her part throughout the three sequels from the original film. The fame of her character grew to the heights of her career after playing a main role in the popular sitcom 'Friends'. There were numerous nominations and awards for her role. The show and its huge hit, aired over ten years. Some of her most recent roles include a supporting role in the drama film "Mothers and daughters". One of the many awards won by her are the TV Guide Award for the performance she made in "Friends" and the Golden Derby Award for her part in the TV series "Cougar Town".
