Bella Poarch is a Filipino born to biological Filipino parents. She was born February 9, 1997. Her grandmother was brought up in the slums of Manila by her biological parents up to when she was 3 years old. She was then adopted. The father she adopted, who is Philippine-American from a military background, has a white background and is American. The woman claims her adoptive brother and she were abused from when she was a child up until the time she enlisted. The family lived with her aunt at San Francisco for several months before returning to Texas for her 13th birthday in the wake of the need of her father's bypass surgery. While the physical violence has subsided, she claims to have endured emotional violence from her father back in the her home. She joined in the United States Navy at age 18. Poarch began her TikTok account in April 202020 and rose quickly to fame, amassing over 40 million followers within just eight months. She uploaded many videos and the one that became her most well-known was Millie B's viral smash Soph Aspin Send. It became one of TikTok's most popular videos. The video zoomed in on her dancing and lip-syncing along to the tune went viral. To capitalize on the fame she gained following her joining TikTok in December 2016 Poarch created YouTube as well as Twitter profiles. Her fame grew to a peak at the end of December in 2020. Two of the biggest Esports professional teams were said to be intrigued by her. FaZe Clan and 100 Thieves were interested to hire her as an author of content under the respective brand names.
